CONFERENCE BY K2C HOLDINGS

In planning for the youth pitso conference held in Maun by Youth Office, K2C Holdings awarded the tender to organize the conference. The conference attracted 200 youth participants, and was held under the theme “Empowering Youth for Tomorrow”

K2C conference management expertise are from in-house training and short courses to seminars, workshops, weddings and conferences.

Training

All event staff should be trained to be competent in the specific tasks they will undertake during the event. As each event is unique, the human resource needs can be diverse from one event to the next (Self-help Module 14, 2007).   The levels of competence and the teamwork involved in staffing and managing an event are not always appreciated, in particular there is a high level of dependency amongst event staff (Bowdin, 2012).  In addition to verifying the competence of the event staff, the organizer should ensure that key personnel are aware of the content of the event management (Shone & Parry, 2004). At K2C staff is trained based on the kind of event. A guide notes is given to every staff to learn on their own and then some role plays are followed directed by the manager. The training covers aspects of service, table setting, team work and mostly the spirit to serve.
