Events
such as wine testing are well known of pulling massive crowed of wine lovers,
and some hospitality sectors nowadays use this form of events to also market
their establishment. But were people gather together there is a critical part
of the overall event process and should be included in the overall event
planning, which is waste management (Bowdin et al, 2012).
Waste
management is an appropriate process of disposing waste Moonga, M. (2011). A waste wise
event takes responsibility for waste management with waste and recycling
collection services. According to Bladen, C. et al, (2012) state that one has to develop a waste
wise plan for the event and also to encourage attendees to participate actively
in waste management efforts.
During
the event waste disposal equipment’s were placed in every corner of the event,
coded differently in accordance with the type of waste, for an example a bin
for cans, a bin for bottles, a bin for left over foods and a bin for papers.
Effective wise waste management can modify the impact on the event.
